Who we are
I am a U.S.-licensed psychologist and attorney with nearly 20 years of experience delivering evidence-based mental health services and comprehensive assessments across clinical and research settings. Since relocating from the U.S. to Europe in 2017, I have combined my expertise in psychology and international law to work at the intersection of mental health and institutional development within expatriate and internationally mobile communities.
My experience includes assessment and therapy within governmental and nonprofit agencies, as well as inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. I completed my graduate training in California, internship in Oklahoma, and a fellowship in neuropsychology (APPCN accredited) at the University of Virginia. I maintain my license to practice psychology in both California and Virginia and am also a member of the Netherlands Psychological Association (NIP). Over the years I’ve evaluated and treated hundreds of individuals for a wide variety of reasons, including learning disabilities, educational planning, neurodevelopmental disorders, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, cerebrovascular diseases and accidents, degenerative neurological conditions, specialty military evaluations, and civil and criminal forensic evaluations,
Most recently I worked with military service members and their families living in Europe with limited access to mental health services. In my role I supported the development of adjunctive services through the school system, as well as local national resources while providing evidence-based assessment and therapeutic services myself.
I look forward to partnering with you to create clarity, foster insight, and support meaningful growth.
Dr. Sarah Wood, J.D., Ph.D., LL.M.
